Rice Outdoor Programs and Education (ROPE) offers a variety of trips each semester to Rice students that are led by Outdoor Trip Leaders, fellow students with a passion for the outdoors. Trips are designed for all experience levels but vary in programming from local day hikes to overnight canoeing trips to interstate backpacking excursions. All trip registrations include transportation, meals, equipment rentals, and guided instruction by Outdoor Trip Leaders. ROPE is located in the Recreation Center in the Outdoor Adventure Center and is open Monday-Friday from 9-5 to answer any questions and rent a variety of outdoor gear.
