Rice Agua Vida

Rice Agua Vida is the university’s premier student organization dedicated to water justice, access, and sustainability. As “the water club at Rice,” Agua Vida raises awareness about global and local water issues through education, advocacy, and action.

Affiliated with the nonprofit Isla Urbana, which focuses on rainwater harvesting to combat water scarcity, Agua Vida connects students to real-world solutions and community-based projects. From hosting speaker events and film screenings to organizing hands-on challenges like the AQUA-THON for Buffalo Bayou, the group empowers students to think critically and act boldly on water equity and conservation.

Whether you're passionate about environmental justice, public health, or sustainable infrastructure, Agua Vida offers a meaningful way to dive into water-related advocacy and make a lasting impact.
