Priya Niezgoda hails from Austin, Texas and is a rising senior majoring in Economics and Policy Studies with a minor in Environmental Studies. She is an incoming summer intern for the Rice Transportation Demand Management Department and the Sustainability Center and is looking forward to working on projects related to improving campus transportation and reducing emissions. Priya is passionate about projects with positive, sustainable societal impact and is excited to continue to learn and grow this passion this summer. Besides academics, Priya is a member of the Rice Women's Tennis Team where she trains and competes all-year for the Owls. She also serves as a Peer Academic Advisor in Hanszen College and as the 2018 coordinator for the Urban Immersion program through the Center for Civic Leadership.
