Ari Forsyth is a Junior Rice University student studying History and Sociology. She is a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow with an interest in modern and contemporary transnational histories and identity construction in colonial and post-colonial societies. Ari enjoys being a part of Rice's institutional commitment to sustainability as the Lead Communications Intern, responsible for generating the quarterly newsletter and annual report. Our planet's resources are not the sole property of powerful people, they are a heritage shared with all of earth's creatures. We should look to indigenous wisdom, scientific innovation, and collective action in order to inform our actions as stewards of the earth.
