Coming on board after Labor Day, McMurtry freshman Gennifer Geer will apply her talents in social media management and journalism to improve outreach for Rice's sustainability office. Hailing from the Chicago area, Gennifer joined the ACSEM staff to learn more about connecting with people on social media and aims to educate the student body about environmental resources available at Rice. She is currently planning to major in political science, though she has a strong interest in sustainability policies. For fun, she enjoys hammocking outdoors and rebelling against other ACSEM interns by having a last name that isn't Johnson, but, like the other interns, she too is a vegan.
